Payments & Policies

 

  1. The non-refundable retainer is due at the time you schedule your portrait session. Your appointment cannot be reserved until the session fee is paid. Due to our limited schedule session retainers are non-refundable but may be applied towards a rescheduled session (within 4 weeks) with a 48-hour cancellation notice. This excludes promotional, themed mini sessions. All weather related cancellations will automatically be rebooked at the photographer’s discretion.
  2. “No Shows” will not be rebooked and your deposit retainer is forfeited.
  3. If you have a sick child on the day of the session please call to reschedule. If you try to keep the appointment, we will most likely request that you reschedule if we notice your child is sick. Sick children do not like to be photographed and we know that you will not love your portraits nearly as much as if he or she was in good health.
  4. Please arrive on time! We have a very full schedule and allow approximately one hour of session time for each client. Starting late sessions has a snowball affect and causes other client’s appointments to run late as well. Out of fairness to everyone, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late for any appointment you will be asked to reschedule. No exceptions! Any amount of late time up to 15 minutes will be deducted from your session time.
  5. Please bring only the people to be photographed or in the case of children, parents are of course welcome. We do ask that if other members of the family or friends are brought to the session that they wait outside the photographing area so that distractions in are limited. This is especially important with children, as we need their full attention on us rather than looking at other members of the family.
  6. You will view your portraits through a private online gallery approximately two weeks after your portrait session. We do not have proofs or contact sheets to give out. Please be sure everyone who is involved in making the final decision in your portrait investment has access to your private online gallery. Galleries will be available for 30 days. There is a $25 gallery reload fee.
  7. While we do capture many images during your session, you will see only those images deemed selected by the artist for previewing. Each image is carefully rendered by the artist to ensure maximum artistry and technical perfection. Images with eyes closed, heads turned, duplicates, etc. will not be shown and are removed from our archives permanently after the artist rendering is complete. We always strive for excellence!
  8. Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for your order to be completed. Some orders may take longer. Your portraits are an investment and an heirloom that should not be rushed. You will be notified by telephone when your order is ready for pickup. If you are unable to pickup your order, we can ship your order to you for an additional charge.
  9. Due to the custom nature of our work, payment for your order must be placed in full and is subject to a 50% cancellation fee should you change your mind about an order after it is placed. Payments may be made cash, check or credit card. There is a $30 fee for returned checks.
  10. All ordered images are kept on file for a period of 90 days from your session. Unordered images will be purged. Orders placed more than 60 days after your online gallery delivery date, require a minimum $100 re-order.
  11. Prices are subject to change at any time, but will be locked in after booking for 2 months following your session date. Any orders placed later than 2 months after your session will be at the current pricing.
  12. The Copyright Act protects photographers by giving us the exclusive right to reproduce your photographs. Violations include, but are not limited to, making illegal copies, scanning, printing from home or downloading from our website. It is illegal to copy or reproduce these photographs in any manner without our permission and violators of this Federal Law will be subject to its civil and criminal penalties. Please understand, we wish to maintain complete control over the print quality, finishes and presentation of our images and any reproduction outside of our studio may lower the quality of the image and scar our reputation for superior portraits.
  13. Eden Troxell Photography retains the right to refuse service.
